ENSEAL®  TRIO Tissue Sealing Device

Reducing thermal spread, increasing efficiency.

The ENSEAL TRIO Device has a 3mm width curved jaw for easy access and visibility. For bipolar coagulation and mechanical transection of tissue, the ENSEAL TRIO Device allows you to simultaneously seal and transect vessels up to 7mm (along with large tissue pedicles and vascular bundles) with minimal thermal damage. Simply close the jaws, activate the energy, and cut. No need for stepped sealing and dividing.

The ENSEAL TRIO Device is:

  • Temperature Controlled – Temperature automatically regulated to approximately 100°C; thermal spread confined to approximately 1mm outside jaws
  • High Performing – Seals vessels up to 7mm with seal strength up to 7 times systolic pressure; patented I-BLADE™ Jaw offers strong, uniform compression along the entire seal line
  • Adaptable – Control speed of sealing and cutting based on tissue type
  • Efficient – One-step actuation for both cutting and sealing

Reducing thermal spread, increasing efficiency.

Unlike any other bipolar device available, our ENSEAL Tissue Sealing Products offer controlled temperature technology. The advanced jaw design restricts lateral energy flow, thus resulting in minimal thermal spread. And it achieves reliable vessel seal strength up to 7 times systolic pressure for vessels ≤ 7mm.

How it works:

  • Thermal Spread Controlled – Offset electrodes help contain energy flow within the jaws – keeping lateral thermal spread outside the seal area to approximately 1mm.
  • Temperature Controlled – Heat-activated polymeric compound with Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) technology maintains sealing temperature at approximately 100°C.
  • Efficiency Improved – No need for stepped sealing and dividing. One step to both seal and divide, versus four steps for other tissue sealers.

At Tissue Interface:

  1. Below 100° C, particles embedded in polymer form chain-like pathways that conduct energy. Cooler areas of tissue between the blades also conduct energy until they too, reach 100° C.
  2. At 100°C, particles in the polymer separate and no longer conduct energy. Energy flow through tissue is arrested so tissue doesn't overheat, minimizing charring and smoke.
