HARMONIC SYNERGY® Blades use high-frequency mechanical vibration to cut and coagulate at the same time, sealing vessels at lower temperatures than electrosurgery. These fundamental advantages can make a difference both in the OR and in the course of your patient’s recovery in a variety of specialties, such as plastic and breast surgeries as well as oral cavity.
The HARMONIC SYNERGY® Platform includes a Curved Blade, a Hook Blade, and the Combination Hook Blade. These HARMONIC® Devices feature:

HARMONIC SYNERGY® Blades
HARMONIC SYNERGY Instruments are sterile, single-patient-use tools. Each consists of a titanium blade with a non-removable sheath. Use these instruments for soft tissue incisions when you want to control bleeding or minimize lateral thermal damage.
There are 3 HARMONIC SYNERGY Blades:
- HARMONIC SYNERGY Curved Blade
- HARMONIC SYNERGY Hook Blade
- HARMONIC SYNERGY Combination Hook Blade
Applicable Specialties:
- Head and Neck (Indicated for SNGHK and SNGHK2 devices only)
- General/Breast
- Plastic
- Peripheral Vascular
- Mobilization of the Internal Mammary Artery (IMA) (Indicated for SNGHK and SNGHK2 devices only)
- Exposure to orthopedic structures (such as spine and joint space)
The Ethicon Endo-Surgery HARMONIC SYNERGY Blades are compatible with the new ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY Generator, sold separately.

HARMONIC® Technology is unique in the way it operates and performs, offering a degree of precision and multifunctionality found in no other energy-based surgical device.
- One device dissects, cuts, grasps, spot coagulates and creates otomies.
- Mechanical energy – a blade vibrating 55,500 times a second – simultaneously cuts and coagulates tissue.
