High-volume, low-pressure gastric band designed to minimize tissue trauma. The balloon design in our gastric bands has proven performance spanning more than 20 years of clinical experience. In fact, no adjustable gastric band is safer or more effective for weight-loss surgery than the REALIZE Band.3
The REALIZE Gastric Band is:

The REALIZE Adjustable Gastric Band is a laparoscopically implanted medical device. It is intended for use in the surgical treatment of morbid obesity. The implant is a silicone assembly that consists of three integral components: the reinforcing band, the balloon and the tubing.

With the REALIZE® Low-pressure Balloon, filling does not cause the material to strain or stretch. A balloon that is not under strain is able to conform to tissue more easily than a balloon under strain. Lap Band® System balloon walls strain when filled to less than half of their maximum fill volume.1
REALIZE Band and REALIZE Band-C remains in the low-pressure zone throughout the fill volume range* while Lap Band® System products cross into the high-pressure zone early in their adjustment range.1

REALIZE Bands - Universal size
REALIZE Bands come in one universal length, and have the largest isostatic adjustment range in the market with REALIZE Band-C having a 14% greater adjustment range than the REALIZE Band.†

* The dividing line indicates the point at which the balloon becomes pressurized causing balloon walls to stretch.1
† Based on bench top measurements of stoma areas.1
