The CONTOUR Curved Cutter Stapler is now indicated for skeletal muscle stapling in above-/below-knee amputation procedures. It provides uniform, consistent staple formation for hemostasis in the thicker muscular tissue. The result: less tissue trauma at the point of transaction compared to electrocautery for the muscle transection.

The CONTOUR Curved Cutter Stapler is a multi-fire, single-patient-use device with a curved head that cuts and staples. It delivers four staggered rows of titanium staples, with a knife between the second and third row, and creates a 40mm curved transaction in the width of a 30mm space Designed to prevent closures if there is no (or a used) reload and, when properly loaded, won't fire unless the closing trigger is latched in the closed position. A retaining pin holds the tissue in place and can be positioned manually.

The instrument may be reloaded five times during a single procedure. Each reload cartridge module includes a knife blade with two staggered rows of staples on each side. Reload cartridges are available in two sizes to accommodate various tissue thicknesses.
