Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy has been gaining in popularity over the past decade, especially with advances in optics and instrumentation. Similar to other minimally invasive approaches, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy offers many of the same benefits for both the surgeon and the patient.
And at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., we continue to improve our current products and develop new ones that make it easier to perform procedures like these with better outcomes. We offer a variety of tools that you may find useful in performing laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy procedures, including:

ENSEAL® Tissue Sealing Device, best in class bipolar technology for temperature-controlled vessel sealing, is ideal for key vascular structures and adnexal transection. The ENSEAL Tissue Sealing Device minimizes lateral thermal damage (approximately 1mm) while reducing char, smoke and sticking and is indicated for vessels up to 7mm in size.
In concert with ENSEAL Devices, the HARMONIC Laparoscopic Hook and Curve Blades may be used for uterine amputation.

The HARMONIC ACE® Curved Shears and HARMONIC® Laparoscopic Blade use ultrasonic technology to provide precision and efficiency with minimal lateral thermal spread and minimal thermal tissue damage when used for:

ENDOPATH® XCEL™ Trocar to aid the surgeon by providing:

LAPRA-TY® Suture Clip uses absorbable clips to close the cuff without the need to tie any knots.
