Laparoscopic Myomectomy

Laparoscopic myomectomies have been steadily gaining in popularity over the past five years.33 Depending on the size and location of the fibroids to be removed, the difficulty of the procedure can vary. Access to, removal of, and closure of the fibroid capsule are key tasks which require precision in the delivery of energy and manipulation of tissue.

Some of our devices for laparoscopic myomectomy procedures include:

HARMONIC ACE® Curved Shears provide precision and cutting speed while creating hemostasis when:

  • Accessing the fibroids.
  • Incising the fibroid capsules.
  • Enucleating the fibroid.

ENDOPATH® XCEL™ Trocar to aid the surgeon by providing:

  • Abdominal Wall Retention – The cannula's integrated thread design provides greater stability and minimal trocar slip-outs.
  • Seal Durability – Maintains abdominal insufflation while accommodating a wide range of instrument sizes (4.7mm to 12.9mm).*
  • Low System Drag Force – The housing and seal are designed to eliminate instrument hang-ups and provide low peak instrument insertion/extraction force.*

LAPRA-TY® Suture Clip uses absorbable clips to close the cuff without the need to tie any knots.
