Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

We estimate that around 25 percent of all hysterectomies are currently performed laparoscopically – and it's growing every year.4

For total laparoscopic hysterectomy, we have developed a number of products and solutions that surgeons like you have come to depend on to reduce operative time and improve outcomes. They include:

ENSEAL® Tissue Sealing Device, best in class bipolar technology for temperature-controlled vessel sealing, is ideal for key vascular structures and adnexal transection. The ENSEAL Tissue Sealing Device minimizes lateral thermal damage (approximately 1mm) while reducing char, smoke and sticking and is indicated for vessels up to 7mm in size.

In concert with ENSEAL Devices, the HARMONIC Laparoscopic Hook and Curved Blades may be used for colpotomy.

The HARMONIC ACE® Curved Shears and HARMONIC® Laparoscopic Blades use ultrasonic technology to provide precision and efficiency with minimal lateral thermal spread and minimal thermal tissue damage when used for:

  • Adnexal transection.
  • Coagulation and transaction of key vessels (IP, Utero-ovarion/uterine arteries).
  • Colpotomy creation (laparoscopic blades).

ENDOPATH® XCEL™ Trocar to aid the surgeon by providing:

  • Abdominal Wall Retention – The cannula's integrated thread design provides greater stability and minimal trocar slip-outs.
  • Seal Durability – Maintains abdominal insufflation while accommodating a wide range of instrument sizes (4.7mm to 12.9mm).*
  • Low System Drag Force – The housing and seal are designed to eliminate instrument hang-ups and provide low peak instrument insertion/extraction force.*
  • Bladeless, optical tip trocars – Direct visualization eliminates blind entry by enabling view of tissue layers during insertion.

LAPRA-TY® Suture Clip uses absorbable clips to close the cuff without the need to tie any knots.
