• View videos on innovative product technologies, including HARMONIC® Technology in head and neck procedures (procedures include thyroidectomy, tonsillectomy, parotidectomy, and neck dissection)
• Review clinical materials evaluating the value of HARMONIC® Technology in head and neck procedures
• Review the MIVAT monograph by Miccoli et al, Operation Primer—Thyroidectomy; and the tonsillectomy monograph by Immenroth et al, Operation Primer—Tonsillectomy

Step 2: Knowledge
Broaden your knowledge through interactive and hands-on demonstrations

• Trial HARMONIC® Technology in an inanimate tissue model in your office
• Review the customized packet of educational materials about how to apply HARMONIC® Technology in head and neck procedures other than thyroidectomies
• Attend focused educational efforts on specialty topics such as oncology and pediatric oral cavity surgery

Step 3: Skills
Advance your skills through virtual and face-to-face programs guided by expert faculty

• Participate in local hands-on lab experience with HARMONIC® Technology
• Attend a regional CME symposium. Symposia are supported by EES educational grants
• Attend the Advanced Otolaryngology Procedures with HARMONIC® Technology, HARMONIC® Technology for the General Surgeon: Advanced Endocrine Procedures, or HARMONIC® Technology for Advanced Head & Neck Procedures courses

Step 4: Confidence
Achieve confidence in new technology through preceptorships/proctorships (small group or one-on-one) and advanced clinical and practice management support

• Work with a highly skilled head and neck surgeon in an OR preceptorship
• Join a phone conference with faculty to receive coaching on challenging cases
• Utilize EES Energy Specialist Representative support for OR cases
